Former Land O' Lakes High Athlete Arrested After Alleged Break-In Attempt

Timothy Jamier Crews-Hill was charged with attempted burglary.

A Land O’ Lakes man was arrested Monday after trying to break into an occupied home on Lost Mill Drive, according to Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies.

A man at the home said he was watching T.V. in the home just before 5 p.m. and heard the doorbell ring, according to an incident report. He went to the door but did not open it. He saw a man, who he later said was Timothy Jamier Crews-Hill, outside with a teenage girl.

The person in the home told deputies he had never seen the man before, but the teenage girl lives near his the street. Crews-Hill, 19, allegedly knocked on the door and then left. Around 20 or 25 minutes later, the man told deputies that Crews-Hill came back and knocked again and rang the bell. Then he and the teen went to the home’s backyard, according to the report.

The occupant told deputies he peeked out a window and saw Crews-Hill punch a pane on the back door window. Crews-Hill returned to the front of the residence, but the teen girl started walking away from the home. Crews-Hill knocked on the front door, and then left.

Then the home’s occupant confronted Crews-Hill who said he was looking for a dog. The home’s occupant told him he already called 9-1-1, and Crews Hill and the teenager left, according to the report.

An arrest report says the teenager told deputies Crews-Hill was going to break into the house because he needed money.

Crews-Hill is a former Land O' Lakes High basketball player. He also was arrested in May after deputies say he stole a gun and other items from a house where he was staying as a guest.

Crews-Hill, 19, of 9200 Seeger Lane, Land O' Lakes, was arrested and charged with attempted burglary.
