owner John E. Forier of Lutz was killed Sunday, Nov. 20, when the 1997 Mercury SUV he was driving veered off a roadway.
Paradise Lakes comptroller Stephanie Gibson said the information they have is limited at this time, but that she is in contact with Forier's family.
Forier's girlfriend, Pam Tanner, was a passenger in the vehicle, Gibson said. She was taken to a Texas hospital. Tanner did sustain some injuries, but her exact condition is currently unknown by resort representatives, Gibson said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Forier overcorrected back, which sent the SUV skidding across both lanes, according to ConnectAmarillo.com
Forier, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead on scene, the news report stated.
According to the news report, Tanner — who was unidentified at the time of the report — is in critical condition with head injuries. Tanner was wearing a seatbelt, the report stated.
Forier's family is working on funeral arrangements, Gibson said.
