Check out the free Maximus: Battle of the Bands 15 kick-off concert at the Land O’ Lakes library. Featured bands are WD-HAN, Scilter, Coralise, and Calling You Out, plus John Gold, Palmer Wolfenden, and more. The show starts at 6 p.m.

The event will be the first chance for bands to submit their entries to compete in Rockus Maximus, the library's 15th annual Battle of the Bands competition, which will be held March 23.  The winning band gets a 10-hour recording deal and $1000 cash.  Got a band? Get to Saturday's kick-off show and register. Love music? Get to the kick-off show and rock on.

Protect Yourself

is hosting a free, one-hour self-defense seminar/ introduction to Krav Maga for women only at noon Saturday.  For information, call 813-907-9544.

Game On

for players age 50-plus are held Saturdays at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex. Board and card games are offered for free along with fun and a chance to socialize. For more information, call 813-929-1220.
