Happy New Year, Now Choose Your Apocalypse

The Mayan calendar has been said by some to "end" in 2012. Popular hype claims that means the world will end Dec. 21 of next year.

Some, like NASA scientists, say the date just refers to the end of the Mayan long count and calendar cycle, not the calendar itself, and that the world won't end at that time.

Where’s the fun in that?

If the impossible were to come true, how do you think the world will end? Global warming? War? Dragons rising from the Gulf? Rapture? Meteor impact?

It’s fun to pretend when faced with the ridiculous. We want to know whether you think the world will end in fire, ice, zombie, or any other implausible catastrophe.
