Republican Club to Host Forum for Sheriff Candidates

The event will be held July 25.

The Republican Club of Central Pasco will present a forum for the Republican candidates for Pasco County Sheriff on Wednesday, July 25.   The current sheriff, Chris Nocco, served as a deputy and police officer as well as a deputy chief of staff for former State Speaker of the House, Marco Rubio, before he was appointed sheriff by Gov. Rick Scott in 2010.   Roger Fortney served Pasco as a deputy for 23 years and recently retired.  Maurice Radford, also retired, has 25 years of experience in law enforcement with 11 years spent as commander of patrol operations in the PCSO, according to a press release.

Each candidate will have an opportunity to promote their campaign positions and there will be a question and answer session following.
