Connerton Vice Principal Recommended for Transfer to Denham Oaks
Several changes at the elementary level have been recommended by the superintendent.
Changes are in store for several Pasco County elementary schools, according to a press release from the district Thursday.
Pending school board approval, Superintendent Heather Fiorentino is recommending that Wendy Carswell be moved from Assistant Principal at Connerton Elementary School to Assistant Principal at Denham Oaks Elementary School.
Carswell has been at the center of some controversy recently at Connerton. Accusations of intimidation from former teachers and staff have been directed at Carswell and principal Anna Falcone.

Claudia Steinacher, the current assistant principal at Odessa Elementary School, is recommended for appointment as assistant principal at Connerton.

Assistant Principal vacancies remain at Odessa Elementary School and Woodland Elementary School, the press release stated.
"In Pasco, we strive to ensure that we have a strong leadership team in every school, with highly skilled professionals that are able to maximize student achievement and create a positive learning environment for all children. Additionally, we remain committed to the professional development of all employees and provide opportunities to ensure that our administrators have the benefit of diverse leadership experiences. The proposed transfers listed above will help us achieve these important goals," district spokeswoman Summer Romagnoli said in a press release.
