New Scholarship Available to Pasco High School Students

Preference will be given to students of middle-income families, a press release states.

Looking for college scholarship opportunities? The Right Fit Foundation recently accounced its first annual $5,000 scholarship.

Pasco and Hillsborough County students are invited to apply. One scholarship will be awarded, and preference will be given to middle-income families, according to a press release.

"These families often do not qualify for need-based financial aid and borrow more on average to pay for college,” Right Fit founder Kenneth Albert said in the release.

To qualify, students must be a US citizen, a resident of Pasco or Hillsborough counties, and have a weighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must also attend one of the foundation’s free college admission and financial aid classes, the press release stated.

The scholarship application is available on The Right Fit Foundation website. The deadline for application is Jan. 15;  the winner will be notified March 15, according to the site.

There may be an interview process for finalists, according to the press release.
