Sunlake Relay for Life Rally to be Held Tonight

Organizers would like to introduce community members to the many ways they can get involved for 2013.

Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a little, Sunlake Relay for Life committee members hope you will join them as planning gets under way for the 2013 event.

The group is hosting a committee rally Thursday, July 26, at Rasmussen College to introduce people to the volunteer opportunities available.

Volunteers are not required to fundraise to participate, committee chair Jason Arigoni said. All that’s required is “a commitment to the roles and the time involved.”

There are options at all levels of time commitments, with most requiring between three and 10 hours per month, he said.

Those hours will increase slightly in the two months leading up to the event in April, he added.

A few of the major positions Arigoni is hoping to fill at the rally include the marketing and publicity chairperson and the logistics chairperson. Descriptions of those volunteer positions are attached to this story.

The rally kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at , 18600 Fernview Street in Land O’ Lakes.
