Email: sherri.lonon@patch.com
Born in Rochester, N.Y., Sherri Lonon moved to Land O' Lakes via Amsterdam, N.Y., when she was 12. Lonon attended Pine View Middle and Land O' Lakes High before going on to receive her degree in history from the University of South Florida.
Always an avid writer, she began her career in journalism in 1990, writing mostly about local communities such as Land O' Lakes, Lutz, Carrollwood, Town 'N Country and Plant City. She also served as the community relations coordinator for the Hillsborough County Water Department. She is married and has two young daughters.
When she's not working, she enjoys reading, watching a good horror movie and hanging out with her family and friends.
Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable.
This disclosure is not a license for us to inject our beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that our beliefs are on the record will cause us to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.
Politics
How would you describe your political beliefs?
I'm a firm believer in the Constitution and feel that our centralized government has become too big and too cumbersome to do the work it was initially tasked with.
Are you registered with a certain party?
I am a registered voter, but strongly believe both parties have lost sight of their mission to uphold the Constitution.
Religion
How religious would you consider yourself? (casual, observant, devout, non religious)
I'm not an avid church-goer, but I've witnessed some miracles in life that make me believe there is someone watching out for us.

Local Green Market News by "Land O Lakes Farmers Market"
Good Morning Everyone ! I will be writing on our facebook every Tuesday our Local Green Market News. We live in the bread basket of the nation with Florida and California growing over 75% of the fresh produce that feeds our nation! The Bottom line is that we should be eating fresher fruits and vegetables at much better prices ! This has been one of my goals to convey to the public on a weekly basis what's growing locally,is in season and a good deal. There are other parts of our country that grown wonderfully tasty fruits and vegetables at certain times of the year and I will be adding these as well. Generally speaking in this twenty first century agricutural/transportation climate we can get just about any type of fruits and vegetable 365 days a year. But hear again my hope is to steer folks toward locally grown produce first, thereby eating better for less ! Thanks, Ken Copeland

Sherri,
The manufacture of Immiticide is unable to manufacture this drug to treat dogs with heartworm disease. So if a dog is not on preventative and gets heartworms their is no treatment/cure until the drug is available. The sad part is it is preventable for less than $10 a month and heartworms are usually fatal.

Sherri,
We have a rescue kitten that we needed to remove a kidney because it was blocked. The bills for her are well over $1000. Wondering if people would like to make donations to the care of Hermione.
