Get Out: Weekend Events Planner June 23-26

Trying to keep up with everything going on around town during a summer weekend is no easy task. To help you out, we’ve put together a few ideas that might be of interest:

When/Where: The meeting takes place at 414 E. Chapman Road in Lutz at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Why Go: If you’re a woman looking for a volunteer opportunity and a chance to meet others in the area interested in giving back to the community, this club might very well be what you’re looking for. To find out more, just email gfwclutzpascojwc@gmail.com.

When/Where: This group meets at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center.

Why Go: Club members play host to guest speakers from a variety of agencies and share a potluck lunch following the presentation. This month’s speaker is Sandra Miniere, a certified practitioner of Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT.

When/Where: This all-day festival takes place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 77 W. Lutz-Lake Fern Road.

Why Go: Featuring vendors, food, music, art and more, this is a fundraiser for the Sheila T for “Guv’na” campaign.

Price: There is no cost to attend.

When/Where: This takes place Saturday night from 7 to 11 p.m. at Organic Life, 1900 Oak Grove Blvd.

Why Go: Listen to music while enjoying a cup of coffee and dinner.

Price: There’s no charge to listen, but coffee and food do come at a charge.

When/Where: Stop by the Land O’ Lakes Community Center just after sunset to take advantage of this ongoing Saturday event.

Why Go: You can catch “Jurassic Park” for free in a drive-in like setting. Do bring a chair or blanket to sit on though.

Price: Free for the movie, but snacks cost between $1-$2.

When/Where: Rapscallions, 4422 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., plays host to this event from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Why Go: Enjoy some food while helping raise money for the GFWC Lutz-Pasco Woman’s Club candidate for “Guv’na.”

Price: Varies based on order. Mention the password “English Rose” to take part in the fundraiser.
