The Road Report – Fourth Of July Edition

The long Fourth of July weekend is finally here! If you want to enjoy smooth sailing ahead, you might want to keep up with planned lane closings in the area.

The Florida Department of Transportation wants to do its part to help holiday motorists enjoy easy local travel. With this in mind, it has announced that there are no planned Interstate closings in construction zones throughout Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas or Hernando counties. This will remain in effect today through July 4.

Interstate 275 between U.S. 41 (North of Bearss) and Interstate 75

FDOT plans to close the left northbound and southbound lanes on I-275 between U.S. 41 and I-75 Tuesday and Wednesday, July 5-6. Southbound lane closings are anticipated between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The northbound lane closes between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Northbound Interstate 75 Widening In Pasco     

Motorists travel Interstate 75 between State Road 56 and State Road 54 can expect intermittent lane closings between Tuesday and Thursday, July 5-7, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Both north and southbound travel lanes may be affected.
