WATCH: Canes Mascot Walks Bride Down the Aisle

Sebastian the Ibis stepped in for the bride's father who died unexpectedly before his daughter's big day.

It’s not every day that an ibis decked out in a Miami Hurricanes’ football uniform gets to walk a bride down the aisle, but Jennifer and Patrick Sullivan’s wedding wasn’t an everyday affair.

Jennifer Sullivan thought the plucky mascot was the perfect choice because she and Patrick met at the University of Miami, the station reported. And, since Jennifer once worked in the athletic department, booking the feathered guy in orange just fell into place.

After all, “I live, breathe and die Canes football,” the station quoted Jennifer as saying.
